Hard ResetThe LG G5 mobile phone is a well known and popular mobile phone. If you are selling your phone or buying a second hand one then you will need to do a factory reset of the phone. This can be done much like other LG phones as the process for a hard reset has been added below. Ensure that you have made a backup of the phone.

Once the phone has been reset you will not be able to recover the data. The factory reset not only removes your photos and video but also removes your internet settings, email as well as your APN numbers, user names and passwords. If you wish to retain these then you will need to ensure that you have made a backup of the data before you start the factory reset or hard reset process.

Ensue that that you mobile phone is fully charged.

  1. First Turn Off your mobile phone;
  2. Press the Volume Down and Power button together and hold.
  3. Once the LG logo shows release the Power key, but keep pressing the Volume Down;
  4. While holding the Volume Down press the Power button once;
  5. The Factory Reset menu now appears;
  6. You need to confirm your choice;
  7. Confirm by moving the Volume Buttons and press the Power Button to confirm your choice;
  8. The phone will now restart;
  9. Your phone has now been hard reset.

  1. Turn on your LG G5 mobile phone;
  2. Click on Settings;
  3. Press General and then Backup & Reset;
  4. Now press Factory Data Reset and Reset Phone;
  5. Click and Erase Everything;
  6. The phone will now do a factory reset.
