Tap Smart Manager Battery

This will tell you how much power you still have left in your battery as well as how much time still remains on the current charge. You can also view and change the turns or turn off apps which use to much power from the battery, The battery monitor in the Samsung Galaxy J2 allows you to do this.

Note that there are a number of options to save power on this mobile phone. These have been listed as follows and by default will disable certain options and processes on the phone.

  • Power saving mode: Will use less power 
  • Ultra power saving mode: Limited access to apps and different screen layout
  • App power saving: Battery optimisation for each app
  • Percentage on status bar: Show or remove the power bar from the phone.

You can check your storage and available space as show above. If you wish to save space as well as speed up your mobile phone then you can also delete all the files in the cache and you can also uninstall the apps which take up alot of memory.  You can do this as follows:

Backup and reset the Samsung Galaxy J2

You will need to click on settings to complete your backup and reset on the mobile phone. You will note that following options in the settings. 

Back up my data:You can make a backup your data as well as your apps onto the Samsung server. Backup’s can also be done automatically. 
Restore:This allows you to restore your settings and data from the Samsung Server back onto your mobile phone.
Back up my data:This backup option allows you to backup your mobile phone to Google Servers and not the Samsung Server.
Automatic restore:
Automatically restore settings and app data from the Google server when apps are reinstalled.
Reset network settings: Reset your network settings. This will remove passwords as well as your APN settings.
Reset settings:Reset your mobile phone to factory settings without deleting your data.
Factory data reset:
Reset your mobile phone to factory defaults.

Factory Reset the Samsung Galaxy J2

You will note that there are a number of reset options for a factory reset or a hard reset of the Samsung Galaxy J2 mobile phone. You can reset your network settings to its default which means you are going to need your APN settings again as well as an option to reset options without deleting your data. The last option on this menu is a full factory reset which deletes everything. 

Tap Settings Backup and reset Factory data reset RESET DEVICE ERASE EVERYTHING

You are best advised to make a backup of your phone to the Samsung Server before you do a factory reset on your mobile phone. This is important as you cannot recover the data once it has been deleted. See the user manual for more details.
