Nokia 225 Internet Settings

Note that you will need to setup you mobile phone for MMS and this is done by removing the current settings which the phone might have. Likewise you will need to find the APN settings. To set up your Nokia 225 for MMS, you’ll need to modify the current settings. Start by locating the APN settings. See also the Nokia 225 Manual as well.

Likewise to connect to the internet, press the Menu hot key. Scroll to the Settings icon and select it. Choose Connectivity, then scroll down to Mobile data and select it. Ensure the Mobile data connection is turned on. If not, select it and choose On, then click Back. Scroll down to Mobile data again and select it. Lastly you’ll need to choose Access points. The network settings will appear on the screen. Select the correct network settings and click Choose.

 

APN Settings

For the data settings, the APN should be set to “test.com”, the username to “test”, and the password should be left blank. The Proxy should also be left blank. The MCC should be set to 234 and the MNC to 10. Be careful not to confuse “proxy” and “MMS proxy”. The first one must be left blank and the value for MMS Proxy is 82.132.254.1. MMS Settings

For the MMS settings, the APN should be set to “test.com”, the username to “test”, and the password should be left blank. The server and MMSC should be set to “http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002”. Likewise the MMS Proxy should be set to 82.132.254.1 and the MMS Port to 8080. Lastly the MCC should be set to 234, the MNC to 10, and the APN Type to “mms”.

Please note that you will need to contact your mobile network provider for the APN settings for their network. The above is only an example of what needs to be changed and what needs to be left alone. Lastly if you are using WAP then the following also needs to be added: Internet Proxy should be set to 193.113.200.195 and Internet Port to 8080. Connecting to the Internet

  1. First click the Menu hot key.
  2. Now you must Scroll to the Settings icon and click Choose.
  3. Likewise now Choose Connectivity.
  4. Now you must Scroll down to Mobile data and then click on Choose.
  5. Check that the Mobile data connection is turned on. If not then Choose this and select On before you have to click Back.
  6. Now Scroll down to Mobile data and then click the Choose option.
  7. You will need to choose Access points.
  8. The network settings will appear on the screen.
  9. Select the correct network settings and then click Choose.
