Connectivity

The Apple iPhone 4s has 2G connectivity (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) + (CDMA 800/1900) as well as 3G (HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100) + (CDMA2000 1xEV-DO). There is no 4G ability on this phone. The phone has a good connection speed at HSPA 14.4/5.76 Mbps. It also has GPRS as well as EDGE.

There is no cardslot on this phone much like others and it internal memory options are 8/16/32/64 GB with 512 MB RAM as standard.

If you are going to upgrade the iPhone to iOS 8.4 then you need to ensure that you have at least 16GB in the phone. The camera setup is still good as it is still used in 2015 being a 8 MegaPixel with a  3264 x 2448 pixel picture quality. The video playback is also good which can run at 1080p@30fps. Emergency Calls

If your iPhone is locked, make an emergency call by tapping ‘Emergency Call’ on the ‘Enter Passcode’ screen. Remember, don’t rely solely on your iPhone for emergencies.

 

Handling Incoming Calls

When you receive a call, you can:

  • Tap ‘Answer’ to take the call.
  • Silence the call by pressing buttons on your iPhone or headset.
  • Decline the call and send it to voicemail.

Quiet Time and Blocking Callers

For quiet time, swipe up and turn on ‘Do Not Disturb’ or ‘Airplane Mode.’ Block unwanted callers by tapping ‘Block this Caller’ or in ‘Settings > Phone > Blocked.’

 

Responding to a Second Call

When you get a second call, you can:

  • Ignore it and send it to voicemail.
  • Put the first call on hold to answer the new one.
  • End the first call and answer the new one.

Ringtones and Vibrations

Customize ringtones in ‘Settings > Sound > Ringtone’ and assign specific ringtones to contacts. Use the side switch to turn the ringer on/off. Adjust vibrations in ‘Settings > Sounds.’

International Calls
