The chip comes with  cutting-edge 10nm FinFET process which also features a 2nd generation custom CPU core. There is also an  embeds a 1Gbps LTE-Advanced modem which can aggregate from 5 carriers which allows for very smooth connectivity. All of this is built into the chip.

The chip uses the 10nm FinFET process which allows up to 27% higher performance or put differently it has 40% lower power consumption when compared to earlier 14nm LPE FinFET process. The Exynos 9 Series 8895 features an octa-core CPU being four Cortex®-A53 cores which is a (Custom CPU 2.3 GHz Quad) primary as well as an (Cortex®-A53 1.7 GHz Quad) secondary processor.

The chip also has an embedded LTE modem with downlink speeds of up to 1Gbps with 5CA and uplink speeds of up to 150Mbps with 2CA. The chip is powered by a Mali™-G71 MP20 GPU which comes with 20 powerful graphics processing cores. GNSS includes GPS, GLONASS as well as BeiDou.
