Galaxy J6 – Transferring Data

If you are moving your data from another Samsung phone then you can move all your data via the Samsung Cloud to your new mobile phone. You can use Smart Switch and this is done as follows on the Samsung J6 mobile phone which you can download from the Play Store.

  • Tap Settings;
  • Tap Cloud and accounts;
  • Tap Smart Switch;
  • Tap WIRELESS → SEND; (on the old phone)
  • Tap WIRELESS → RECEIVE; (on the new phone)
  • Follow the instructions on-screen.

This should work for most however if you do not wish to transfer your data this way due to privacy concerns then you can backup your phone onto your SD Card. You will first need to format the SD Card for the J6 and then start the process preferably with a new SD Card.
