The Microsoft Lumia 435 continues the look and style of the Nokia Lumia. The Nokia Lumia 435 comes with 2 network bands being the 2G (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and 3G bands (HSDPA 900/2100). With EDGE and GPRS and a speed of HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps it places the phone in the mid range of what Lumia used to offer as standard.
Released in January 2015 the size has remained pretty much the same as others in its range being 118.1 x 64.7 x 11.7 mm (4.65 x 2.55 x 0.46 in). The display is a capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (~233 ppi pixel density). The screen much like others is a touchscreen.
Being taken over the Microsoft the operating system on the phone is a Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 with a planned upgrade to Windows 10. The chipset in the phone is a very capable Qualcomm MSM8210 Snapdragon 200 powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and an Adreno 302 GPU.
The phone also has a card slot for a microSD card with up to 128 GB of storage ability and a memory capacity for 8 GB, 1 GB RAM. The camera is very basic being a 2 MP, 1600 x 1200 pixels camera as the primary. The secondary is a VGA, 480p. The video rates of the primary camera is not to bad coming in at 480p@30fps.
The phone comes with the usual bells that you would expect from a mid range mobile phone being vibration; MP3 and WAV ringtones. There is also Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot as well as A-GPS, GLONASS, accelerometer and proximity sensor with Bluetooth v4.0.
